I kind of enjoyed sleeping on top of the mattress and not inside it.
At least a latex topper is not 'in" the mattress as much as memory foam but with a 3" 19 ILD topper it would certainly be more than with a firmer or thinner latex. Your mattress pad may also be part of what you are feeling as well.
Are there any mattress protectors that would stretch with the lattex? We might also buy some knit sheets.
