The Mattress Underground offers free membership for consumers and paid membership for manufacturers or retail outlets.
Personal membership in The Mattress Underground and the discounts and other benefits that go with it is free and requires only a post of any kind in our forum.
For Retailers and Manufacturers we offer paid membership services with significant value as described below.
These services are our source of income as The Mattress Underground is currently an 16+ hour per day labor of love. For those manufacturers or retailers that have been invited to become members, and for any consumer that wishes to find their "best" mattress, we hope you choose to take advantage of what we offer as we believe the value of our services and information and our willingness and ability to work on behalf of and "connect" educated consumers with the better retailers and manufacturers across the US and Canada is second to none on the internet. Our manufacturer and retailer memberships are currently available for founding members and are by invitation only. We realize that we will not have the chance to talk with every manufacturer and retailer who may wish to be a part of this in it's early stages so if you would like to be a founding member and you share the spirit, ideas, and values of this site, please contact us so we can talk in more detail.
As continued growth and your support of our goals, services, and membership makes it possible, there are many parts of a longer term plan which I believe will further increase the value and the reach of this project. We know that we can only succeed if you do.

Benefits • Public recognition on our website and forum that as a member of The Mattress Underground, you are one of the best places to buy a mattress in North America. • The use of our logo "Member of The Mattress Underground" in your business in any (ethical) way you see fit. • Access to and use of all written publications we may develop in consultation with our membership including training materials. • The right to post on our forum with your signature and link to your business. • A separate page on our website if you wish including information about your business and services and any other unique information you feel is appropriate. • Inclusion in our public membership list with a link to your website and ongoing public recommendations in our frequent posts on our forum designed to guide consumers to service and value oriented mattress outlets in their area or online as appropriate. • Over time, and should you have a particular area of expertise and interest, we plan to open subsections of our forum which will be primarily moderated and run by members of The Mattress Underground who have unusual knowledge in specific areas.
Requirements:$200 Per year • A personal conversation between us to confirm to both of our satisfaction that we share the same values. • We would appreciate a link on your site to The Mattress Underground (or your page on our site) as this will increase our search rankings and the traffic that we can send back to you. • Your agreement to provide members of The Mattress Underground with a 5% discount (or similar value bonus) off your best non member price on any mattress purchase and a 5% referral fee (maximum $50) to The Mattress Underground. |
