Anyone have any experience with this company? They disclose their foam densities on the website.

Are there prices expensive compared to other online retailers?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I had done a quite extensive research with the help of mattress underground. Christeli and the product very good compared to tempur line up. I did purchase the Grand Royal Palais though. Depending on which bed your thinking of I do believe the price difference is worth the look at with Christeli. Do buy the warranty and return for $29 if you dont' like it they just take it back after 30 days. But do it before the 30th day or else nothing!!
The Grand Royal is compared to the Allure all the way up to the Grand..........................Allure with adjustable bed=$9K and I got the Royal for $5600 with no tax. You can bet them up on the adjustable bed as I got it for $2600 instead of $3200 so tell them you found it somewhere else for that price and they will match it. they don't do anything with there price on the bed but the frame you can deal with them. But for five thousand dollars for the same or really a better quality I would check them out

Redwinger,
I was wondering what you thought of the Palais Grand Royale that you purchased. I am seriously considering this mattress. I like the latex support layer and the foam specs are high quality.

Also, the Christeli rep was telling me that the mattress comes in three sections and that you can interchange the comfort layers to adjust the feel of the mattress, i.e. You can take the layer of 5.3 lb memory (the one under the latex support layer) and use it in different orders with the top comfort layer (the European box top)on top of the latex support layer to make it more plush. Have you experimented with this and does it work?

Any additional thoughts on your buying experience with Christeli and if you were able to get any discounts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm not Redwinger of course so I can't share my personal experience with the mattress but I can tell you that the different configurations for the Palais Grand Royale would feel different from each other so in this sense it would certainly "work".

The mattress has 6 different configurations (if you only count the ones with memory foam on top).

#1 & #2 are the latex core with each of the two toppers on top by themselves (no topper underneath).

#3 & #4 are the latex core with one topper on the bottom and one on top.

#5 & #6 are the latex core with both toppers on top in either order.

All of these would have a different "feel". The softest would probably be with the latex core on the bottom with the 3" topper in the middle and the 4" topper on the top.

I would also be aware that they no longer offer the $29 return option (they are now exchange only).

Hopefully Redwinger will also see this and share his thoughts about any of the different configurations he's tried.

Phoenix,
As always, thanks for the quick reply. I think this is a fairly neat feature being able to try different combinations.

Sorry about the late response. Yes its has been three weeks now on this mattress. I have changed the configurations about a week ago to see if I get firmer support. I Have the base 8" at the bottom with the 4" next and the 8lb on top. I do like this configuration however I am not completely sold yet. I am not sinking into a hole as much as before and I have one more week for return, and will calling today to see if I am doing it right. I might have to go with the 8" then the 8lbs to firm it up. Or might go back to the original set up like in the picture. I do really like the bed. With the first set up like in the pictures online I was sinking in more than I wanted to, so I switched it up like I said, 8" bottom, then 4-5" next with the 8 lb on top and that firmed it up more to my liking. However I am still have pain problems with may have nothing to do with the bed. Yes I think this bed is worth the money compared to the TP lines with the ablility to switch up the firmness.
I am going to possibly call and pay the price to see if I add one more layer of 8 lb on top if that will do the trick??? Being that I sleep deeper and longer on my back before I roll over with the current configuration (original set up, also was great) but with all foams you do get a pocket that the body 'fits' into and wakes me to have to roll over. Then I have to get a new spot to allow the foam to come back up. its really fast doing that by the way. but again you do leave an impression in it and I do always end up on my side after some point in the night so I didn't know if I have enough 8 lb on top or putting the 8 lbs on top of the 8" base and it will give me a firmer non sinking hole? Don't know if this is helping you or not? It really comes down to getting the bed set up to fit my needs or yours, but at least I do have options with the Palais bed and that is a good thing. Yes so far, its worth the money. you can call directly if you like for questions? don't know how the site allows that or how to do it so no one else get my number?
Phoenix did I say if correctly with the positions of the layers? Meaning the 8" Base over the 4.5', with the 8lb on top? Or to get it firmer should I try the 8" with the 8lb directly on top of that and put the 4-5" on the very bottom? Not sure how all the layers work with the different configurations so I am asking the store today for the best with my needs. If not I don't know it foam with be the best for me then. And of course I have a 3K adjustable bed that I will have to keep. By the way this is a good adjustable base, but you can deal the price as I said before. let me know if you need anymore questions that I can answer for you today. I will keep an better eye on this post, again sorry for the late reply

Willey G, I think I paid $69 or $89 for a full return, the $29 was not an option. But on 11-1-13 when I bought it I have the full option of a full return of my mattress. I have to keep the Rize #5 adjustable bed. That is non returnable. So as I mentioned earlier in a post I think that I am going to keep this and just need to get the layer right. That is what makes the bed for me. It allows options of all their bed rolled into one per say. So if its affordable for you I would and did spend the money on it versus the $11K with tax for the Allure with adjustable bed under it, so the cost difference along with the fact their product, with Phoenix's help showed me that they do have a good product materials. That is why I went with them. My total cost was $5609 with the Rize contemporary adjustable frame. They call it something else though. Their cost was like $3200 and like I said you/I got if for $2600 so that was helpful. Again anyquestions feel free to contact me.
Phoenix is there anyway to allow personal notes or messages, and or call to be done, and how would that happen if someone wanted to talk openly about this without getting any a liability law suits going. All of this is of "my opinion" only and I am "not an expert", but you know someone can find a way.
Thanks Redwinger
