Do I need a matress protector for a new latex mattress 17 Jan 2014 17:50 #2

Hi mesen001,

Congratulations on your new mattress first of all ... I think you've made a great choice :)

It's always a good idea to use a mattress protector yes to protect the mattress from the normal body oils, moisture, and skin cells that are released during sleep, to maintain more a more hygienic sleep surface, to reduce the incidence and effect of dust mites, and to protect the mattress from accidents and to protect the warranty as well.

There are several mattress protector options that each have their own pros and cons and post #89 here can help you decide between them.
