Dearfoam Latex Hybrid mattress 02 Apr 2014 18:15 #1

 I am 210 and in bed alot due to an injury and even more with an upcoming knee surgery. Is the 1.5 lb base foam not enough for me to prevent sagging?

Hi Squeaky,

You are still in a weight range that you will likely be OK because the support layers of a mattress are not usually the weak link of a mattress although if you can comfortably afford a mattress that uses higher quality support foam or that has the option to exchange the firmness of the latex comfort layer if you need to (such as some of the mattresses that are sold by their sister company Brooklyn Bedding ) I would certainly consider it because of the length of time that you will likely spend in bed and because it may be a slightly "safer" choice in the longer term.
