My goal is to get pocket coil and 3" of latex on top in a King. I have gotten quotes in the $900 - 1500 range mostly. Some have dunlop only, others carry talalay. Some places have more options for firmness than others. Some places are more willing to share details than others. There's one place I am leaning towards (thats not on the original thread here). I will let know how it works out, but right now I am still trialing my memory foam hybrid bed and shopping around for a latex hybrid replacement.
I have to say that it is a bit of a challenge to install your own latex mattress! I guess I'll see how we sleep tonight.
Thanks for all the information on this forum, it has been beyond helpful.
Welcome to the Mattress Underground !
Yippee, I'm so happy! I went to Mississauga this morning and came home with a new latex mattress. I got such great service from John at Naturelle. Oh, and they do put all the organic stickers on all mattresses.
Congrats on your new mattress purchase ! Good to hear you had a pleasant service experience and hope that continues for you post-purchase.

Well, here's a quick update...
The first night was not good - the latex mattress and pillows were firm and unforgiving (we came from soft pillows and an old mattress with a memory foam topper). Hubby and I looked at each other in the morning, disappointed, and I suggested we could always get a softer topper.... We have a firm 6" base and a med-soft 3" topper (apparently more firm than the med-firm 3" topper).
So, I searched here for help and found out about walking on the mattress! This was news to me... Each day now I have crawled and then walked on the mattress and stomped on the pillows.
This has made a huge difference and although we do not yet love the mattress, it is acceptable now. Even the second night was better than the first. Today was the third day of carefully walking on the mattress (it's sitting on a box spring, so I'm cautious). Waiting for the law of diminishing returns to kick in .
One thing I do love about the mattress is the non-odour. It doesn't smell at all. This is great for us as we are sensitive to odours.
Today I removed our non-stretchy mattress cover (apparently you are also psychic, lol). Then we'll see from there. We may go ahead and order the 2" Gentle topper from Naturelle.
Yes, we did get the Jasmine mattress 6" + 3". And, med-soft is not available online - pickup only. It's around 34 ild - John told me, I forgot. But he did say it's next in firmness to firm, maybe I should have gotten the medium 3", but I really felt it was too soft. I liked the feel of the med-soft the best.
Happily we don't currently have hip or shoulder issues (well, unless rotator cuff strain counts).
I will continue to update.
