I contacted Christeli about their Astoria mattress. They were very helpful and told me for my type of sleeping and pain issues it would be good. I then asked why they did not allow returns, and never received a response. I told them my concern was about 2 mattresses
I was considering. If I tried the Astoria and then decided, perhaps another on I was considering might be better I knew they would allow one exchange (no refunds). My concern was should I realize after making the exchange I really preferred the Astoria, would I be allowed to get the Astoria, even if there was a fee, I never received a reply. I was burned very badly by he Sat bed, so I want to be sure about my options. In addition, delivery was free and I asked if it was to my door or curb. I explained this was very important because I have 10 feet of walkway and 7 steps to reach the front door. With arthritis I needed to know exactly how delivery was made and again no response. I prefer to deal with mail when getting answers to important questions, yet Chrusteli does not seem to respond. You would not believe he things I was told over the phone when I inquired about the Sat bed before making the purchase. Without backup information I had no proof of all the lies I had been told. Should I just give up on them or perhaps some of your members might have the answers. I really feel so much better about purchasing a mattress knowing I can depend on your website to get the right answers. Thanks so much

I'm not sure why you aren't receiving replies to your emails but if it was me I would call them and find out the answers to your questions "from the horse's mouth" (and see if you can find out why they didn't reply to your questions as well) and then ask them to confirm their answers with an email.

As far as why any company doesn't allow returns ... return policies are built in to the cost of a mattress and the people who don't return or exchange a mattress pay for the ones that do. Each company decides on their return or exchange policies based on the business and pricing model that they believe will be most effective for them. It's really just one of many business choices that go hand in hand with all the other choices that each company makes about their mattresses, marketing methods, and the options they provide that ends up being part of the final price of the mattress.
