Hi Elseven,

The optional retainer bracket corrects this issue.

Do they also fit on the inside corners but just have a different design that doesn't interfere with the positioning of the beds?

Yes, the bracket supports just the outer edge, similar to support brackets that mount in the middle.

Hi Elseven,

Thanks for the picture ... I couldn't find what they looked like on the Reverie site.

Hi Phoenix,
You're welcome!

Hopefully this info will help the next person who buys a Reverie Split King.

When I contacted Reverie, I mentioned I was a member of this forum. That might actually have spurred the company to be so helpful so quickly. Or maybe Reverie just happens to be a really outstanding company regarding their customer service. Not something I'm used to these days, and certainly appreciated.

Either way, thanks for the great site!

I too have similar problems with my reverie split king bases. I really thought it was due to the fact that my mattresses are a bit small for the bases (there is about a 1" gap from where the corner brackets are and the mattress hits).

Elseven, how did you contact Reverie did you call them or email them? I too would like these brackets and I don't even see them listed in their website.

Hi Jermy4,
I sent them an email to their customer service, they responded within 20 minutes.

Regarding that retainer bracket, here is an except from the email I received from Sara at Reverie:
Your cost if you are interested would be 24.00 plus shipping.
You may call our service center 800-973-8374 Monday thru Friday Eastern time, 9am to 8pm to purchase them.
The part number is MA-RB-SK5D.

Hope it works out for you.

I was recently looking at adjustable foundations, and it's helpful to know that the wall-hugger functionality of the 5D doesn't ensure that the night stand remains in the same position.

When I was shopping recently, Mattress Firm was telling me about the Tempur-pedic Premium Ergo adjustable foundation, and they stressed that this foundation does in fact glide forward and back as you rise/lower the head, so that your nightstand remains in the same position. This means that they claim when you rise your head, it slides back/up so that your nightstand remains to your side and you don't have to reach behind you.

Wanted to mention this since others earlier mentioned that this is a small concern with the 5D. Of course the Premium Ergo is $3,800, where the 5D is 1/2 or even less of that price!

Hi bobby2478,

It would be interesting to compare the degree of travel between different wall hugger features between different brands (regardless of what a salesperson may say). All of them move the mattress backwards when they are raised but I would suspect that none of them remain in the same position relative to a night stand when you raise them and that this isn't unique to Reverie ( see here for a comment about the Ergomotion as well) but I've never done any specific comparisons that compared and measured the degree of travel between the different wall hugger features ( see here ).

Definitely agree, can never just take what a salesperson says at face value. Would be interesting for some hard facts between different models to see if any are superior to others, or if they all fall in the same general range

Hi bobby2478,

I was curious so I decided to start a new topic here so the forum members that own different makes and models of adjustable beds can measure the amount of travel and we can all find out if some of them are better than others at keeping the occupant of the bed more even with their bedside table.
