Hi SleeperGN,
Aches and pains, reflux and swollen ankles are are catching up with my wife and I. So, we decided to upgrade to an adjustable bed and a new mattress. Finding an adjustable base was easy. The mattress...Now that another story. Thankfully, I found this forum.
Welcome to the
Mattress Forum!

I’m glad you found us.
After reading through numerous post, I went on a shopping expedition. I live in a smaller city and my options are limited. The only mattress worth buying locally is Heritage Latex line from Southerland.
The limited information I could find shows about the Heritage Line that it uses latex tat is listed as continuous pour, which would be Dunlop. Aside from that, you’d want to find out the
information listed here
about all of the layers within any mattress you had tested locally to be able to evaluate that product.
An alternative would be one of the on-line retailers. Sleep EZ looks promising, is customizable, and has good reviews. What would be the best way to contact this company? Looks like the owner is a member on this forum. Is possible to contact him directly?
You are correct that SleepEZ is a member of this site which means that I think very highly of them and that I believe that they compete well with the
best in the industry
in terms of their quality, value, service, knowledge, and transparency. They are extremely knowledgeable about latex and different configurations.
The most reliable source of guidance when considering an online purchase is
always a more detailed phone conversation with the manufacturer. They can help "talk you through" the specifics of their mattresses and the properties and "feel" of the materials they are using and the options they have available that may be the best "match" for you based on the information you provide them, any local testing you have done (like the Southerland) or mattresses you have slept on and liked or other mattresses you are considering that they are familiar with, and the "averages" of other customers that are similar to you. They will know more about "matching" their specific mattress designs, options, and firmness levels to different body types, sleeping positions, and preferences (like your 2-person set up) than anyone else, and you can convey information in a more complete and timely manner on the phone than via any PM, email or online chat. I don’t know that you’d be speaking with the ownership when you call them on the phone, but it is possible that you may end up reaching one of them.
