Hi droidx,
Let me respond to get this into the Forum, and hope that people who have experience with Nest will join the conversation.
I think I am interested in the alexander nest bedding. Problem is, I'm not sure if I prefer the hybrid or straight memory foam, since the memory foam is only offered in firm and medium, and the hybrid is offered in plush, medium, and firm.
Just looking at the components in the
Signature Memory Foam
and the
Hybrid Plush,
shows that you are going to have a decision to make.
My thing is I seem to prefer the softer swallow me feeling of the softer beds, which it seems would lead me to the hybrid plush, but I think I prefer all foam, as I am on a standard inner spring mattress now, and really didnt want to go the coil route.
The Signature features 3 1/2" of Memory Foam in the top:
1" Quilted Cover Cool Stretch Fabric
2.5" 4 lb. Gel Foam Memory Foam
1" 4 lb. Visco Memory Foam
2" 1.8 lb. SmartFlow Foam
6" 1.8 lb. Solid Edge Support Base Foam
This is going to sleep warmer because there is 9" of all foam in this bed. Regardless of what we do to foam, it still is not as breathable as latex, wool or innersprings.
The Hybrid features 1 1/2" of memory foam in the top and 8" of coils for additional air flow.
They also state that this is the plusher feeling mattress in their ratings.
1.5" 4 lb. Gel Infused Memory Foam & Super Soft Quilted Thermic Phase Change Fabric
1.5" TitanChil Endurance Foam®
1.5" 2.5 lb. Copper Infused Energex Foam
1" 3 lb. SmartFlow Support Foam
8" Quantum Edge Pocketed Support Coils
However, I sleep hot, I don't care for the bounce of the spring mattresses, and I seem to like soft and for the bed to sorta hug me.
One of the important points when shopping online is to look at the exchange/return policy of the site. Looking at Nest, it looks like you will have
100 Night Trial
to see if you like the mattress.
Now, if people who have either of the Nest beds will join in the conversation, you should have enough information to make the decision. There are also a lot of reviews on their site, and 3rd party sites about the mattresses. Finally, a call to the company to discuss your sleep style and what you are looking for should help you.
