Anyone has a EZYSleep Crown Series Mattress - www.ezysleep.ca/products/crown-series? They are from Toronto, Canada..

Tried to find more info on them and none seems available, and their website is mostly marketing talk with no specifications.

Hey CECCCCC,

Welcome to TMU :) ! Nice to e-meet you and thanks for your question.

Congrats on your new mattress shopping adventure :) ! Thanks for including the link to the manufacturer you have interest in, CECCCCC. I'm not familiar with them or their product line, but I did use the link to check out their site. After a preliminary overview, I used their Chat to ask basic durability questions, here is a Phoenix article, "Mattress Specifications You Need to Know" that can help you get started with your research. Using this example, I asked the following questions:

"What is the ILD of the 2" Talalay layer?" This will help you understand a bit about the mattress's comfort feel. Their response is that the latex is 30-35 ILD, providing a firmer feel.
"Who is the Talalay latex manufacturer?" There are a number of countries that source latex rubber but only two manufacturers of Talalay latex in North America: Talalay Global and Radium Foam. In the past, Talalay latex manufactured in China has not consistently matched the quality of that manufactured in the U.S. or Europe; the caveat here being that versions of Chinese Talalay latex has not proven durable over time. Their response is that they can ask the manufacturer, they do not know.
"What material is the 2" Body Impression Comfort foam and what is its' density?" Their response is the 2 inch body composition is low to medium density soy based bio foam.
"What density is the 4" HD edge support foam?" their response is the 4" edge support is high density (a lb. per cubic ft. answer would have been more helpful, Phoenix recommends HD foam's weight to be in the 1.5-1.8 lbs per cu. ft. as a longer-lasting/ better quality grade).
"How many zones are in the coil unit and who makes the coils?" Their response is there are 5 zones with a 1.3mm grade. (Multiple-zoned mattresses are a personal choice in terms of support.)

This is not meant to be a critique of EzySleep's product but rather a quick review of some questions that will help you evaluate a mattress's long-term durability potential. Of course, your personal stats of height, weight, body profile, preferred sleeping positions, as well as comfort and support preferences all impact what materials and construction would best serve your needs. I will say that I found EzySleep's Chat to be friendly and quite responsive with replies to all questions asked. Hope this helps you with your research process and good luck ;) .

Thank you very much for your response. This is very helpful information. Barring how I actually feel on the mattress, from the sound of it, am I safe to assume the quality and durability of this mattress is on the lower end?

Hey CECCCCC,

Neither the EZYSleep site nor live chat offered enough spec details to verify the mattress's durability potential fully. As mentioned in my previous post response, the other piece of the durability equation relates to the user(s) and how their body type would interact with the mattress. Your weight, height, body profile, and sleep position(s) all have a direct relationship with the types of materials and constructions used, and how long they would perform well for you. If you like the feel of the Crown Series mattress, review the questions I asked EZYSleep on chat before and speak with their sales team regarding who is the Talalay latex manufacturer, what is the density number of the 2" Body Impression comfort foam, and density of the 4" HD edge support foam. If the numbers fall into the recommended ranges discussed earlier, and if your personal stats fall into line with what the mattress specs will support, the final consideration is whether the mattress fills your comfort and support needs. Have you made any other showroom visits since your last post? If so, are there any other mattress contenders?

Thanks,
Sensei

Thank you for the info. I haven't visited their showroom as it is quite far from me.

The other I am considering is the Haven lux hybrid havenmattress.ca/products/lux-hybrid and Dozy Richmond mattress dozysleep.ca/the-richmond/

The challenge is I don't live close to any of these places / showrooms so I can't go in person to try. And I don't want the big box store mattresses.

Hey CECCCCC,

You haven't mentioned any of your personal stats or details regarding your sleep history thus far. To better understand the durability potential you can expect from the mattresses you're considering, could you share your weight, height, and body type? As mentioned in this previous post , these indicators will help identify what materials and constructions would be a better fit for your comfort and support needs. Also, what mattress are you currently using and how old is it? What are some qualities that you like about it and what would you change? What size mattress are you shopping for and what is your budget?

The challenge is I don't live close to any of these places / showrooms so I can't go in person to try. And I don't want the big box store mattresses.

That does make shopping somewhat of a challenge, CECCCC. Hopefully, you can try some of the tips mentioned in the above post to make phone calls or use chat/ email to gather comparative information for your purchase research. It's been a while since we last spoke; have you made any decisions yet?

Thanks,
