Ultimate Hybrid and lower back soreness 01 Jun 2018 13:44 #1

Hi,

My partner and I have been sleeping on the Arizona Premium Ultimate Hybrid for about 8 months now. I love it! Unfortunately, my partner has been having occasional bouts of lower back pain, and I'm hoping to get some advice as to how to alleviate it.

My partner is a back/side sleeper, average BMI. We have the Ultimate Hybrid with the soft talalay 3" topper. After some back soreness, we bought a 2" medium firmness Pure Green topper and put it on top and the pain seemed to go away for a month or two, until just recently when it has come back.

I'm going to try flipping the order of the toppers (i.e. go from coils->soft->medium to coils->medium->soft) but I'm not sure if this will make a noticeable difference and could even make it a little worse.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated -- thanks.

There are many causes of back pain and the mattress might not be the problem. That being said you may need to get a dual firmness 3" topper with one side being medium or even firm and the other side remaining soft as to not change your side. Alternately you can get just the half side in medium or firm and cut out the soft half for you to keep. That would be the most cost efficient solution.
