Hello Jholland

Thank you so much for your inquiry. The ideal foundation for an all-latex mattress is one that is solid, sturdy and level surface. This can include a platform, a slatted wood foundation or even the floor, which is a solid and sturdy surface.

Great question,
I am also considering placing the mattress I got from Sleep EZ on the floor until I have a chance to invest in a nice platform bed with storage underneath.
I have just one question.
Would putting the mattress directly on the floor create mildew issues due to the fact that it does not allow for air to flow?

Thanks so much for this incredible resource.
BTW ..... I can't be more pleased with my mattress, I have been sleeping on it for over 3 months and ... I love it! (got a TMU discount too)

Hello Ele

Placing the mattress on the floor is really no different from placing the mattress on a solid platform foundation. Both have the same amount of air-flow.
Mold only occurs when any sort of liquid is introduced to surfaces that have little to no air flow. This can happen regardless of what kind of surface your mattress is on.

Please don't hesitate to come back should you have more questions. Thank you so much for your inquiry!
